Chef Hicham Chehouani began cultivating his skills as a chef from an early age. When his family moved to Nice, France, Hicham continued his culinary education. Having been a chef on a French cruise ship and entertained guests from around the globe, he has personally created culinary masterpieces for international guests in Spain, Morocco, France, and Malta. As a jack-of-all-trades, Chef Hicham has also worked as a model, actor, and a professional surfer. After moving to the United States in 2000, he began making crêpes and Moroccan kebab. In December of 2009, Hicham opened Crêpes De Luxe Cafe on College Street, making his dream of owning his own restaurant a reality. Our chef has been seen at the Iowa City Arts Festival, Iowa City Jazz Festival, and the Des Moines International Food Festival, where in two days he made more than 1,400 crêpes! He also caters important events, most-commonly weddings. Chef Hicham Chehouani would encourage customers of all ages to come in, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy the food and atmosphere of Iowa's one-and-only crêperie! Crêpes De Luxe Cafe.
